6 Little Secrets to Fast-Track Your Spiritual Journey

Spiritual evolution is no walk in the park, that’s for sure.  It takes work and a lot of it.  Growth and transformation take a sustained effort over a long period of time. While there’s no expressway through it, there are some things that will accelerate your journey.

I just released my first book, SOAR, which shares universal knowledge and wisdom that I’ve learned on my journey.  In this article, I will share six secrets that, when blended together, make the perfect fast-track to your spiritual journey. SOAR speaks to each of these secrets, and many more.

If you haven’t already, grab your copy of SOAR today!  It’s available on Amazon in Kindle, paperback, and audiobook.

SOAR is pretty direct about what this spiritual journey requires.  But it also makes a promise that this journey into your soul will send you SOARing!!  Here’s a glimpse, straight out of SOAR

“Heart-centered living is a choice and a commitment.  It doesn’t happen overnight and it doesn’t come easily.  There’s no “on” switch.  No easy button.  No magic bullet.  It takes work, open-mindedness.  It takes a willingness to own your stuff.  It takes courage.  It takes uncomfortableness.  It takes vulnerability.  It takes transparency.  It takes silencing the chatter in your mind.  It takes learning to trust your intuition.  It takes finding your voice.  It takes stepping into your truth.  But, it also takes you to places your fear-based, conscious mind can’t even comprehend.  Are you ready to take this journey into your soul?”

1. Know Your Worth

Nobody else is going to value you unless you value yourself first. YOU need to be your biggest fan. Additionally, you need to believe in who you are, and that you are worthy and deserving. Self-confidence, self-esteem and self-worth are common phrases we use to describe such qualities.

In my mind, these concepts are all closely intertwined and it is almost impossible to extricate one from the others. At their core, they all come down to holding ones-self in high regard. Self-confidence is a hard trait to miss. We all know people who have self-confidence and when they have it, there’s no missing it. They radiate it. They exude this unmistakable, undeniable self-assuredness. It permeates every aspect of their being, from the way they walk and talk to how they show up unapologetically as they are and stand in their truth.

Do you believe you’re worthy of the best of the best?

2. Build A Lifestyle That Nourishes Your Mind, Body, And Spirit.

This self-love lifestyle keeps your vibration high and helps you feel better, look better, think better, connect better, and ultimately ATTRACT better.

SOAR emphasizes the importance of self-love:

“Self-love is about taking care of all aspects of you, including physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally.  It’s about making sure you are honoring your personal needs and desires and feeling balanced and whole first, before taking care of others.  Self-love is not selfish, it’s necessary.”

Self-love is a lifestyle and there are many things we can do throughout each day to support this lifestyle.  Eating a healthy diet, exercising, getting good sleep, drinking water, journaling, meditating, spending time in nature, honoring ourselves…the list goes on.  SOAR  explores these and many more.

How have you nourished your mind, body, and spirit in the last week?

3. Surround Yourself With Like-minded People

The people you surround yourself with play a huge role in your growth and transformation. For years I have intentionally surrounded myself with people who are more evolved than I am…spiritual teachers, mentors, visionaries and healers to name a few. Over time, you become a blend of the energies you surround yourself with. Choose your tribe mindfully.

Here’s a quote from SOAR  about choosing your tribe:

“Seeking out and surrounding myself with other individuals who are committed to growth plays a huge role in ensuring that I remain on my own growth trajectory.  It’s so important to connect with people who speak your language and have similar priorities.  Hold space for the ones who share core values and enrich your life in some way —  either spiritually, mentally, emotionally, or physically.”

Who is in your tribe, and do they support the direction in which you’re taking your future?

4. Set Your Standards Sky-high

And get really comfortable with voicing them. Sub-par isn’t good enough. Mediocre isn’t good enough.

“Articulate what your standards are first, and then see how everything fits into that framework.  You’ve got to get really really clear about defining your standards.  Maybe you don’t even know what they are, and that’s ok.  There is no “one size fits all” for this, and the cool part is that you have a creative license to design this any way you want it to look.  Everyone’s list looks different.

However you decide to define your standards, don’t settle.  Don’t compromise.  Claim your power.  Honor yourself.  Know your value.  Own your self-worth.  You deserve the best of the best, and nothing short of that should be accepted.”

Are your standards as high as they need to be?

5. Keep The Space Open

Hold out for the best of the best. We all have a finite amount of energy available to us each day – physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual, and if you haven’t kept the space open you’re not going to be able to make room for mind-blowing when it shows up.

This no-nonsense quote from SOAR may help you decide if it’s a good use of your energy:

“If it’s not mind-blowing, body-strengthening, or soul-stirring, it’s not worth your time.”

How can you keep the space open, reserve your energy, and continue working on yourself?

6. Get Comfortable With Being Bold

Nothing spectacular ever came from a comfort zone. That is, you need to learn how to get comfortable with taking a risk, overcoming fear and doubt.

In SOAR, I share my sentiments on the idea of being bold, and its relation to fear:

“One of the best compliments that someone can give me is to tell me something I did was bold because, to me, it signifies the recognition of the absence of fear.  I’m super-addicted to the feeling of fearlessness.  It reminds me of that feeling of invincibility we all had when we were kids. The best-kept secret is that we can get that back.”

When’s the last time you did something bold?

Spiritual growth and transformation are so worth the effort.  The best trip you’ll ever take is the journey into your soul, so let’s get your journey started today!  Reach out and we can set up a time to chat.
