Your Beliefs Create Your Reality

Did you know that the majority of our lives are run by our subconscious mind?

The majority is about 95%, according to the New Scientist.  Can you believe it’s that high?

You can think of the subconscious mind as a program running behind the scenes.

While it may appear that we run our lives from our conscious minds, our conscious mind is only credited with a very small portion of how our lives are playing out.

Why is it important to become aware of this?  Because our beliefs are stored deep in our subconscious.

This is why it’s so important to do the soul work from the inside out.

In order to transform your life, you first have to transform your subconscious.

In a prior article, I asked you to reflect on what story you are telling yourself.  That’s just a more casual way of asking what your beliefs are.

These beliefs were stowed away in your subconscious when you were a child, through experiences with your parents and other adults in your life.

If the beliefs are limiting, they stifle our ability to create the reality we really want.

Examples of limiting beliefs are:

  • I am not good enough.
  • I don’t deserve better.
  • It’s hard to make money.
  • I am not smart enough.
  • I am too old.
  • I am too young.
  • I don’t have enough time.
  • Love is hard to find.
  • I am not experienced enough.

Do any of these sound familiar to you?

The goal is to transform these beliefs into beliefs that help you create the life you desire.  Here are the following statements, transformed:

  • I am enough.
  • I deserve the best.
  • Making money is easy.
  • I am smart.
  • I am the perfect age.
  • I am the perfect age.
  • I have lots of time.
  • Love is easy to find.
  • I have a lot of valuable experience.

Get the idea?

One of the best ways to uncover limiting beliefs is by journaling.  Just sit and write, with no editing or judgements, whatever shows up in your stream of consciousness.

Keep reminding yourself that your prior limiting beliefs may have served you at one time, but they may not serve you anymore.  Give yourself the freedom and the permission to adopt a new belief, one that represents the new and growth-minded you.

You can then create a new vision and manifest your new life based on your new beliefs.

Note that this is a super-simplified explanation of transforming your beliefs, and doing so in a way that sticks takes lots of time and effort, but this is the general framework you can start to follow.

I’d love to help you develop new beliefs that support your dream future, so if you’d like to chat more about it, you can grab a time here.
