Do you find that overthinking is getting the best of you? Do you find yourself ruminating over decisions you made in the past? Do you have a hard time making decisions out of fear that you’ll make the wrong choice? Do you find yourself obsessing about the least favorable outcome? Do you worry about how others will react to what you do? Do you doubt that you’ll do the right thing? Does fear hijack your thoughts and get the best of you?
Oh my gosh, I even started to tense up writing the preceding paragraph. Why? Because it’s riddled with fear, doubt, apprehension, hesitation, ambivalence, worry, stress and anxiety. And left unaddressed, these feelings can lead to bigger issues.
My friends, this is not the energy from which we attract good things into our lives.
Deep breath, there’s an easier way. And that easier way is to relax, surrender and trust the process.
Overthinking is a sure-fire sign that you’re in your head, trying to run your show from your conscious mind.
But did you know that 90% of our lives are actually run by our subconscious minds? That’s where our deep-seated beliefs and inner truths live. There are programs that are running behind the scenes that keep us stuck in the same old patterns, until we unlearn.
When we want to banish the overthinking hindrance out of our lives in a way that sticks, we have to do the work from the inside out. What does that mean exactly? It means taking the journey from your head into your soul. It means moving out of fear and into trust. It means knowing that it’s okay to not have it all figured out right now. It means focusing on making the most of what you have in front of you right now and allowing the future to unfold in the way that’s in your highest good. It means surrendering and letting the universe lead you.
Take the trip. Trust me, it will be the best trip you ever take.
I’ve come up with 10 ways to help you stop overthinking dead in its tracks. This week we’re going to cover the first three, and next week round it out with seven more powerful ways you can make overthinking a thing of the past.
1. Make Expansion Your Permanent State of Being.
At every moment, we are either in a state of contraction or expansion. Overthinking keeps us stuck in contraction, and contraction is where we are not learning, growing and evolving. When we’re in a state of contraction, we pinch ourselves off from higher energies.
Expansion is where it’s at. Expansion is the space where we step into unlimited levels of peace, love, ease, abundance, joy, and empowerment, to name a few.
2. Pick a Path and Pour All of Your Energy Into It.
Energetically speaking, one of the least productive positions you can take is one of split energy. In doing so you create this so-called energetic quagmire, where you’re kinda sorta in it, but not really. Make a decision, trust that you made the best choice for yourself given your current level of knowledge, wisdom, and consciousness, and move forward with momentum.
3. Enhance Your Awareness.
Pay attention to your thoughts and recognize when you have crossed over from thinking to overthinking. Ask yourself, how does this thought help or hinder my evolution?
