I don’t love the idea of “New Year’s Resolutions,” mainly because it centers around what you need to do better, what’s broken, and what improvements you need to make. It often spawns a negative narrative and overfocuses on changing behaviors.
While doing the right thing is the ultimate goal, without the right energy, you will end up right back where you started.
The key is to line up the energy FIRST. Then, the behaviors will follow organically.
Here’s how.
As you think about the coming year and beyond, I’d encourage you to think about the changes you want to make from the perspective of CREATION.
Imagine what your ideal life looks and feels like, and state what you’d like to create.
Here’s some examples:
- “I want to CREATE a healthy body.”
- “I want to CREATE more memorable experiences for my family.”
- “I want to CREATE a more organized household.”
- “I want to CREATE value for my clients.”
- “I want to CREATE a product that simplifies people’s lives.”
When we embody the energy of creation, we’re illustrating our best selves as we operate from a place of inspiration rather than obligation.
When you focus on creation, you will be living authentically. It can happen no other way. Creation is right up there with your purpose, and when you follow what you’re inspired to do, authenticity isn’t even a choice you’ll need to make. You’ll already be there.
As we wrap up 2022, I’d like to take this opportunity to say a great big thank you for being part of my year. It’s truly a joy and an honor to be on this journey with you.
Sending all my best to you and your loved ones as we leap into 2023. See you there.
I’d love to help you start 2023 with a bang. Let’s chat.
