In the last article, I promised you that I would tell you the secret to having it all.
I still will, but first we are taking a slight detour courtesy of the universe. This week it wants me to illustrate how when we stay open and connected to ourselves, the universe, and our purpose, synchronicities are everywhere.
So all of last week the idea of “having it all” was on my mind. This whole idea is that if we ditch the lack and limitation mindset and embrace an abundance mindset, we can have whatever we want in this world.
I even started writing an article called “The Mindset of Having It All.”
On Friday, I was getting ready for my podcast recordings. I was down to about an hour to go, and still needed to do hair and makeup, and see who I’d be interviewing that morning. Note that I don’t even know who my guests are in advance these days; my team is so phenomenal at finding rock star guests for me, and I let them handle my bookings months in advance, so I can focus on the fun part; the deep convo.
So with about three minutes until showtime, I pull up my guests’ bio.
I learned that she is a New York Times bestselling author, and her book is called “The Art of Having it All.”
Coincidence? I think not.
Even as a creative, I couldn’t make this stuff up if I tried.
I felt like I was sitting squarely in the middle of a cosmic wink.
That’s the universe right there, my friends.
So now fast-forward to this week. On Wednesday I had some time set aside to write content, and the topic I planned to write about was around limitations, and how our beliefs create our reality.
I always make myself some tea before I write, and the brand I buy, Yogi, has these inspirational sayings that I love.
The message I got was “The only thing that can limit you is believing that you are limited. Become limitless.”
And what’s more, the message on my tea the very next morning was the same. “The only thing that can limit you is believing that you are limited. Become limitless.”
So, I’m taking that as a sign. A sign that the universe wants us to take a deep dive into the mindset that releases limitations and chooses abundance.
So that’s where we’re going next.
You may have heard the phrase “your thoughts create your reality.” That’s partially true, but it’s way deeper than that.
It’s your beliefs that create your reality.
Thinking about something isn’t enough. Taking an action step isn’t enough.
In order for something to happen, you have to believe it. Really believe it. You have to feel it in the depths of your soul.
Described differently, beliefs is another word for story. What story are you telling yourself about your life? What do you believe to be true?
Before anything can change, you need to become aware of what you believe to be true, the story you are telling yourself.
So there ya have it. The secret to having it all: your beliefs.
There is so much that goes into this, and I want to give each part of it the attention that it deserves, so over the next few newsletters, I’m going to show you how to transform your life through transforming your beliefs.
For now, I’d like you to reflect on the following question:
What story are you telling yourself?
